Job Title: Digital Board Design Engineer

Objective:

Microbot Medical is seeking a Digital Board Design (Electrical) Engineer to participate in the design and development of a challenging multi-disciplinary novel miniature, implanted robotic medical device for the treatment of Neurological disorders. The successful candidate will join a dynamic company and will be part of a development team and will be responsible for the Digital electronic design and development of a project from prototype stage to a final product. The job involves hands- on PCB design and development, testing, troubleshooting, and creative problem solving to design, develop and deliver high quality innovative medical devices intended to improve patient outcomes. Responsibility includes design, development, prototype production, testing and validating power and communication system for a novel neurological medical device.

Education and Experience requirements:

  • B.Sc degree (M.Sc preferred) in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years hands-on experience in relevant work
  • Knowledge and understanding of the medical device (medical implants – advantage) environment and standards, including safety and EMC requirements
  • Digital/Mix signals circuit board design expertise using advanced development tools
  • Hands-on experience in measurement instruments for troubleshooting electronic boards
  • Experience in sensing methods
  • Experience in low voltages power management components (DC/DC, LDO etc.)
  • Ability to analyze constraints and define their impact on the system performance, such as power dissipation, heat, tolerances, and power distribution on human tissue
  • Understanding in PCB manufacturing processes and constrains (including multilayer HDI flex pcb)
  • Ability to manage board editors remotely
  • Experience in testing and troubleshooting after manufacturing
  • Experience in EMC testing
  • Experience in testing and documenting according to company standards
  • Experience in wireless energy transmission and wireless communication systems for medical applications – advantage
  • Understanding in electro magnetic fields for power transfer – advantage
  • Analogue capabilities – advantage
