Job Title: Manager: Strategic Innovations

This position will play a pivotal role in building the Company’s position in the robotic surgery space. This position requires a passion for customers, technology innovation, product excellence and innovative healthcare marketing. We are looking for a candidate with experience in Marketing and Business Development with a clinical background to accelerate the development of our device. Manager, Strategic Innovations will report directly to the Senior Director of Business Development. The ideal candidate will possess strong presentation and interpersonal skills, is highly motivated, self-directed and thrives in a fast pace international MedTech start-up. Responsibilities will reflect the needs of an early-stage MedTech startup to develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market landscape for robotic surgery, market trends, customer priorities, and competitive landscape.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed analysis on market position, competitive landscape, and the technical feasibility of strategic partnerships
  • Collect integral data from physicians and share with the leadership team
  • Identify partners such as KOLs and Advisory Board members
  • Analyze market segmentation and pricing as well
  • Identify external products/technologies to enhance Microbot’s clinical applications and design
  • Develop marketing and case study materials
  • Support market and financial diligence efforts on opportunities that the company pursues
  • Report analysis to senior executives and Board of Directors
  • Analyze business markets and perform competitor analysis
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with MDs, entrepreneurs, and innovation organizations
  • Identifying and writing grant applications
  • 50 – 70% travel expected

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Clinical experience is a must, MD preferred; (neurovascular, coronary, and/or peripheral)
  • Seven (7) or more years of professional experience, five (5) or more years’ experience within the medical device industry.
  • Self-motivated driven by the desire to make an impact on the long-term success of the business
  • Strong leadership skills, and the business maturity, intellect and integrity required to establish immediate credibility with external constituencies.
  • Analytical and logical thinker; ability to develop market and financial models
  • Ability to adapt communication style depending upon the audience
  •  Energetic, with a deep desire to succeed; Optimistic, recognizing that every step back is an opportunity to take two steps forward
