Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Project Manager

Objective:

The Project Manager will have a strong mechanical engineering orientation to manage the design and development of a challenging multi-disciplinary medical robotics project in the endovascular area. The successful candidate will join a dynamic company and will report to the Company’s CTO. The role will be responsible for leading the design and development of a project from its early stage conceptual idea to the final product. This will involve the application of design engineering principles, technical skills, teamwork and creative problem solving to design and deliver high quality innovative medical devices intended to improve patient outcomes. The Project Manager will be required to ensure completion of the project in a timely, efficient, and effective manner, meeting specifications and budget. This position will also manage and maintain the design history files of the project. The role will work jointly with quality, clinical and regulatory departments to ensure the full compliance of the product.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, spec and within budget
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation (Design reviews, Risk analysis, V&V documentation)
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Maintain the projects DHF (Design history file)
  • Technical support to CE and FDA submissions
  • Technical support to clinical trails

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Brilliant mechanical engineering with 5+ years of experience in mechanical design of robotic/motion systems
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in Technical project management including management of product Design History Files
  • Mechanisms, robotics and powertrain systems experience – an advantage
  • Experience in design and production of molded plastics parts
  • Experience in working and managing subcontractors
  • Experience and understanding in control systems
  • Ability to technically discuss with electrical and S/W engineers
  • Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
