Objective

Microbot Medical is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to participate in the design and development of a multi-disciplinary medical robotics project in the endovascular area. The successful candidate will join a dynamic company. They will be responsible for the design and development of mechanisms from early-stage conceptual idea to a final product. This will involve the application of design engineering principles, technical skills, teamwork, and creative problem solving to design and deliver high quality innovative medical devices intended to improve patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

    • Mechanical engineer with 5+ years of experience
    • Design of robotic/motion systems – An advantage
    • Proficiency with SolidWorks is a must
    • Experience in designing mechanisms, robotics, and powertrain systems -an advantage
    • Experience in design and production of molded plastics parts
    • Experience in working and managing subcontractors
    • Understanding of motion control systems
    • Ability to communicate with electrical and S/W engineers
    • Experience in the development of medical devices in accordance with medical standards
    • Development of mechanical concepts to address challenging tasks
    • Hands on mechanical design of mechanisms
    • Support with the mechanical part of the V&V, CE and FDA submission including production of reusable and disposable parts, protocol writing, testing, test reports, etc.
    • Responsible to meet tight schedules and milestones
    • Responsible for the project’s technical documentation
    • Support the mechanical part of in-vivo and clinical studies in Israel and abroad
    • Support for all aspects of mechanical development of the current and future prototypes/products
