Position Summary
The Sales Operations & Analytics supports the commercial team by establishing clear market insights strategy, developing processes, and integrate tools that drive performance and efficiency across the sales organization. This role plays a critical part in enabling data-driven decision-making, managing CRM systems, and supporting field teams in a fast-paced, regulated medical device environment. A key area of this position is to develop a deep market intelligence tools and processes to increase focus and efficiency of the sales process and cycle, analyze purchasing patterns and trends of both existing and prospective customers to uncover growth opportunities and turn them into effective sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strategy to support sales and marketing objectives
- Develop tools to integrate market intelligence, sales data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and gaps
- Conduct in-depth analysis of customers’ profile to support and enhance targeting process
- Identify and analyze prospect spending behaviors, procurement cycles, and buying patterns
- Develop models to forecast customer purchasing trends and identify accounts with growth potential
- Maintain and optimize CRM tools ensuring data accuracy and usability
- Support territory alignment, quota setting, and incentive compensation modeling
- Partner with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and sales teams
- Assist with sales forecasting and pipeline analysis
- Manage and improve lead generation, order tracking, and contract processing workflows
- Support new product launches and commercial readiness initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., Sunshine Act reporting, FDA guidelines)
- Provide ongoing training and support to sales team members on tools and processes
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in sales operations and/or business analytics, in the medical device, life sciences, or healthcare sector
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree a plus
- Proven ability to extract and interpret customer spending trends to drive strategic recommendations
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a cross functional team environment
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Comfortable working in a highly regulated, performance-driven environment
- Knowledge of medical device sales cycles, GPOs/IDNs, and compliance requirements is a strong plus
